2025赛季“工体杯”首都职工足球联赛小组赛已近尾声。在上周日进行的A组最后一轮比赛中，北京市工业（国防）工会代表队和怀柔区总工会代表队从“死亡之组”中脱颖而出，晋级淘汰赛。
由于有25支球队参赛，所以在八个小组中必然有一个小组由四支球队组成。四支球队组成的小组相较于其他三支球队组成的小组，出线难度更大。这种难度不仅仅体现在“数学”上，更真实地体现在比赛中。
小组赛最后一轮之前，出线形势依然胶着。怀柔区总工会代表队（积6分）、北京市工业（国防）工会代表队（积3分）和平谷区总工会代表队（积3分），都有很大的希望出线。两战皆负的北京市教育工会代表队也存在理论上的出线希望。
北京市工业（国防）工会代表队是首都职工足球联赛的老牌劲旅，不过在此前的比赛中，他们被平谷区总工会代表队在伤停补时阶段绝杀。最后一轮小组赛，北京市工业（国防）工会代表队必须击败怀柔区总工会代表队才能出线。
在上周日下午首先进行的一场比赛中，平谷区总工会代表队以4∶0战胜北京市教育工会代表队。这就让接下来北京市工业（国防）工会代表队和怀柔区总工会代表队之间的比赛弥漫“紧张”的气味。
双方在比赛中大部分时间旗鼓相当，直到下半时比赛进行到第18分钟，北京市工业（国防）工会代表队获得前场任意球，曾在北京国安队效力的桂平头球破门。本场比赛桂平下半时被替换上场，果然起到了立竿见影的作用。凭借这粒入球，北京市工业（国防）工会代表队以1∶0取胜，拿到了宝贵的三分。怀柔区总工会代表队虽然失利，但是凭借此前积累的6个积分和净胜球优势，仍然获得了本小组的第一名。
怀柔区总工会代表队和北京市工业（国防）工会代表队实力强劲，他们出线实至名归。平谷区总工会代表队虽然屈居小组第三，但是在积分上与出线两队一样，也体现了很高的竞技水平，配得上“虽败犹荣”四个字。北京市教育工会代表队虽然小组垫底，但是他们每球必拼，球员们也体会到了踢球的快乐。
